You Don’t Need More Posts. You Need a System.

Let’s be honest for a second…
Most teams aren’t struggling because they’re not posting enough.

They’re struggling because everything feels a little scattered.

What that usually looks like:

  • Different departments doing their own thing

  • Messages going out without alignment

  • No clear ownership of accounts

  • Information getting repeated—or missed entirely

So the instinct becomes:

“Post more. Share it again. Try another version.”

But that’s not the fix.

What actually helps:

  • A simple structure everyone can follow

  • Clear roles (who posts, who responds, who approves)

  • Central visibility across accounts

  • Tools that support your workflow—not complicate it

Where newsletters come in:

  • A consistent way to reach residents directly

  • Less dependent on algorithms

  • Easier to organize and reference later

How to start without overwhelming your team:

  • Begin with one department

  • Set a few clear guidelines

  • Train gradually

  • Build buy-in instead of forcing change

Consistency doesn’t come from doing more.
It comes from having something steady to follow.
If your communication feels like it’s working but also a little harder than it should be—that’s usually a sign the system just needs refining. I’m always open to talking through what that could look like for your town.
